Caren Mitchell

Caren has over 28 years of experience in the hair industry. She specializes in precision cutting, color, hair extensions and special occasion hair.

Caren has always had a fascination with hair. Throughout her childhood, she played with her mom’s hair. At a young age, she went with her mom to the salon and watched, with curiosity, how the stylist cut, rolled and styled her mom’s hair. In junior high, Caren began to cut and style her mom’s hair.

After high school, Caren attended Barber school in Lubbock, Texas. In 1979, she received her Barber license. After working 18 years in Lubbock, Caren moved to Arizona. In order for Caren to be a Barber in Arizona, she had to have an Arizona Barber license. Thus, she went back to school to obtain her Arizona Barber license. A few years later, she moved to California.

In California, Caren decided to attend Cosmetology school. After receiving her Cosmetology license in 1999, she went through extensive training to learn how to make updos. The training was held in San Francisco and taught by Martin Parsons. In addition, she has had training in Matrix, Redken, Farouk and Nexxus color, cutting and products.

In 2002, Caren moved to Texas. She is a believer in continuous education, therefore; she attends hair shows on a regular basis in order to keep up with the latest cuts and styles. In addition, she attends workshops for additional hands-on training.
